Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of software engineers, DevOps professionals, database developers, and system analysts while ensuring high availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems
Drive Azure cloud strategy, including architecture, deployment, governance, cost optimization, and adoption of cloud-native services such as microservices, containers, AKS, and serverless solutions
Oversee the full lifecycle of Java-based enterprise applications, including modernization of legacy systems and integration with SQL backends and enterprise data environments
Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enable reliable, automated, and repeatable releases across all environments
Partner with business leaders, vendors, and third parties to translate business needs into actionable technology roadmaps while ensuring compliance with governance, security, and regulatory standards
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, including participation in on-call support rotations for critical systems as needed
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
7+ years of IT experience
3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
Proven hands-on expertise with Azure cloud services
Cloud-native architectures
Microservices
Containerization
CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps preferred)
Strong experience leading and supporting Java/Spring-based enterprise applications
Angular front-end technologies
Relational databases such as SQL Server
Demonstrated success modernizing legacy systems
Operating in regulated environments
Effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience within the insurance or financial services industry
