Responsibilities
Install and set up of servers, switches, routers, and other hardware devices
Perform cable patching and labelling activities as per the Datacenter standards
Keep detailed records of tasks in the ticketing system and inventory system
Configure basic network interfaces (e.g., KVM, DRAC/ILO)
Resolve network-related issues and perform cable swaps (Ethernet/Fiber)
Check device power and LED alarm indicators and perform troubleshooting activities
Troubleshooting of copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure
Execute reboots and perform initial diagnostics as per the defined process/procedures
Support incident and problem management as part of a global 24x7 support team
Rack/de-rack hardware and handle decommissioning tasks
Maintain accurate inventory of cables (MM, SM, copper)
Escort and coordinate with external vendors as needed
Qualification
Required
2+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise Datacenter operations or support role
Working knowledge of servers, switches, routers, and structured cabling
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors
Comfortable working in night and rotational shifts
Preferred
Certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, or other IT infrastructure)
