Director/ExecutiveThe University of York is committed to public good and academic excellence, and they are seeking a Director of Property & Campus Development. This role is essential for overseeing the campus strategy and ensuring that the estate aligns with the University's educational and research objectives while championing sustainability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Strategic Functions: Campus property master planning (current and future needs), property compliance and risk management oversight, and energy and infrastructure master planning
Operational Leadership: Capital project leadership for internal and external teams, lifecycle and strategic asset management planning, and ensuring compliance with legislation like the Building Safety Act
People and Culture: Leading and managing staff, developing them, and ensuring high performance. Role modelling a culture that puts equality, diversity, and inclusivity at its heart
Qualification
Required
Professional registration at Chartered level within a relevant property or construction discipline
Membership of a recognised professional body at corporate grade or above
Extensive senior management experience and ability to manage substantial budgets/resources (ideally within a higher education setting)
