Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information
Develop strategic objectives related to sales and marketing functions
Create and maintain sales and marketing budgets
Develop strong customer relations with new and existing clients via phone contact, correspondence and personal job-site or client facility visits. Ensure all questions are answered and relationships are maintained. Represent PKM Steel in a professional manner at all times. Document client feedback
Maintain customer database and update account information
Provide commercial information commensurate to client business in industry
Research the market, understand customer requirements and analyze trends
Attend business seminars, conferences and workshops to track industry trends
Maximize value from referral networks and business connections
Analyze and respond to competitor’s strategies and changes in the industry
Analyze and evaluate current sales marketing processes, investments, solutions and make recommendations for utilization and efficiencies
Contact customers to answer basic procedural questions or to gauge their level of satisfaction with the company
Assist with General Contractor research, including, scope and credibility
Update and maintain A305, licenses and certifications
Coordinate and prepare company’s prequalification documentation for General Contractors
Update and maintain company’s website, social media and marketing materials
Maintain an inventory and directory of sales support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creations as needed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 year combined experience in structural steel engineering, design, fabrication, sales, marketing and/or all phases of fabrication and erection
Strong understanding of digital marketing activities
Accurate knowledge, understanding and efficient use of Microsoft Office and other applicable software
Excellent organizational skills and ability to show initiative in identifying and completing tasks without close supervision
Ability to understand and interpret complex directions, instructions and other forms of contract and/or customer specifications
Capable of quality assessment, trouble shooting, visualizing the finished project and incorporating improvements
Demonstrable knowledge in sales, marketing and negotiating
Ability to coordinate multiple projects to meet business requirements and schedule workflow to achieve maximum output
Demonstrates high degree of professional behavior, appearance, work ethic, attention to detail, honesty and reliability
Demonstrates ability to manage stress constructively and maintain professional, positive, even temperament during periods of frustration, ambiguity and change
Demonstrable skills in interpersonal communication and conflict management
