619 Recruiting is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of a high-volume organization. The role involves managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning to drive transparency and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Bank Reconciliations
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information in a high-transaction setting
Monitor daily transaction volumes, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP
Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and forecasts for leadership and stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, procurement, and IT to ensure financial alignment with business objectives
Lead and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Manage external audits, tax filings, and relationships with financial institutions
Implement and optimize financial systems and tools to handle large volumes of data and transactions
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning efforts

Required

Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting role
Experience in a high-volume transactional environment (e.g., retail, logistics, e-commerce, hospitality, etc.)
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred

Experience in multi-unit or multi-location businesses
Background in systems implementation or financial process automation
Track record of improving financial operations and streamlining reporting
