Responsibilities
Receive and respond to incoming sales requests via telephone, email, and other channels
Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective customers by providing prompt, professional service, answering inquiries, and addressing their needs
Qualify leads, provide product recommendations, answer customer inquiries, issue accurate quotes, and process orders to ensure timely delivery
Work with vendors to determine product availability, application, pricing, and delivery timelines to support customer requirements at competitive prices
Communicate with outside sales staff (Account Managers) and work with internal teams to source new customers, business opportunities, and products
Continuously maintain knowledge of IPS products, vendor offerings, and competing solutions to better assist customers and identify growth opportunities
Assist with after-hours coverage on a rotating schedule, customer account setup, and procurement-related vendor identification
Promote a strong company image, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and observe all safety procedures
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
0-2 years in inside sales, customer service, or related fields
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics) is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships
Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow through on orders, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, eager to learn and able to work collaboratively with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Willingness to learn and retain detailed knowledge of company products, vendor offerings, and competitive solutions
Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs
