Responsibilities
Perform design engineering and provide system design support by working closely with all MEP disciplines to ensure well-coordinated designs
Consulting and interfacing with clients, architects, vendors, contractors, and AHJs
Managing CAD and other technical staff
Participating in the employee review process
Writing engineering proposals
Participating in various trade organizations and presentations
Assisting in business development by expanding on current client relationships, and by attending industry and client events
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Fire Protection or other Engineering discipline
2 - 7 years of experience in fire alarm system design and consulting
Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and ICC based building codes
The ability to achieve security clearance from the Federal Government
The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively
Able to travel to various project locations on occasion
Experience in using AutoCAD and Revit to develop designs
Strong relationship skills and communications skills both verbal and written
Preferred
NICET certification in Fire Alarm systems
Licensed Professional Engineer in Fire Protection
