Responsibilities
Design and deploy edge solutions: Design, implement, and maintain on-premises edge infrastructure solutions, including servers, network devices, and storage, to support applications and services at the edge
Kubernetes administration: Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Container orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance
Configuration management: Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible and Salt to automate server configuration and software deployment
Monitoring and troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions and troubleshoot infrastructure issues at the edge. Including CICD Pipeline best practices, tools like (Gitlab CI, ArgoCD etc.)
Security: Implement and maintain security best practices for edge infrastructure
Collaboration: Work closely with cloud infrastructure teams and development teams to ensure seamless integration between edge and cloud environments
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or related field, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure and edge computing
Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including system administration and networking
Experience with Kubernetes, including cluster administration and deployment of containerized applications
Proficiency with at least one configuration management tool (e.g., Ansible, Salt)
Experience with Docker and container orchestration
Solid understanding of networking concepts
Knowledge of security best practices for on-premises infrastructure
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash)
Preferred
AWS Outposts experience is a plus
