Assistant Account Manager - Employee Benefit Plans Administrator

Confidential company is seeking an experienced employee benefit plan administrator to serve as an Assistant Account Manager on their Client Services Team. The role involves supporting client relationships, coordinating with support staff, and administering health and retirement plans effectively.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Account Manager, department managers and internal staff regarding all aspects of administering clients' employee benefit plans
Provide general and administrative support to the Account Manager and clients
Maintain effective relationships with participants, trustees, collective bargaining parties, professional advisors, service providers and others on behalf of the clients' benefit plans
Manage internal and external service requests and projects
Complete tasks and compliance activities in strict adherence to deadlines
Conduct meeting planning activities, including arranging travel, making catering arrangements and serving as the primary contact for hotels and other meeting venues
Attend client meetings, prepare meeting agendas and materials for consideration, take notes and manage follow up action item lists
Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
Prepare letters, documents and forms

Required

5 years of work experience in multiemployer benefit plan administration
Excellent MS Office knowledge
Outstanding analytical, organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Discretion and confidentiality

Preferred

5-7 years of work experience in multiemployer benefit plan administration is preferred, including health, defined benefit and defined contribution funds
CEBS Preferred
Defined Benefit pension plan administration: 3 years
Health Plan benefit administration: 3 years
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist
