Research Program Assistant
Project New Yorker is seeking a Research Program Assistant to support project implementation and continuous improvement. The role involves working closely with instructors and project staff to collect and organize information, document feedback, and support program development.
Responsibilities
Coordinate project implementation activities and maintain tracking systems
Organize and visualize project components, including content structure, timelines, and materials
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting notes
Observe classes and community learning settings, taking notes on how activities and materials are used
Work with instructors to understand participant engagement and learning challenges
Communicate with participants to support program activities and data collection
Collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative information, including feedback from staff and stakeholders
Manage and enter collected data into project tracking systems
Summarize findings and identify patterns to inform program improvement
Coordinate with team members on timelines, objectives, and deliverables
Maintain organized project documentation and records
Share regular updates and findings with leadership and project staff
Qualification
Required
Background in research, adult education, nonprofit management, or a related field
Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
Experience managing data using spreadsheets or similar tools; basic statistical knowledge is a plus
Familiarity with learning assessments, surveys, or program evaluation tools
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
Preferred
Fluency in Bangla is preferred
