Responsibilities
Independently performing non-routine testing and lab work
Writing technical reports with a summary, conclusions and recommendations
Supervises and assists with the internal training, development and competency checks of lab staff
Identifying and leading implementation of constructive change within work area
Interpreting data trends using graphs and correlations with process knowledge and communicating appropriately
Supervises timely and accurate preparation, analysis and quantitation of test samples
Provides laboratory technical support (coordination with vendors for repairs, calibrations and coordinating with lab team for routine maintenance.)
Supports and participates in lab Quality Control Programs
Will participate in Weekend Duty Rotation
Qualification
Required
BA or BS in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related/equivalent field of study required
2+ years' experience in an environmental laboratory setting
Proficient with Microsoft and SAP Applications
Active Learner
Self-motivated and goal-oriented team player
Preferred
Experience in a paper manufacturing setting is strongly preferred
