Senior Motion Designer
Duolingo is on a mission to develop the best education in the world and make it universally available. The Senior Motion Designer will contribute to creative projects that enhance the learning experience through UX Motion, Interaction Design, and Motion Graphics, collaborating closely with various teams to craft delightful product features.

Responsibilities
Craft satisfying and delightful product features and mechanics across the Duolingo app
Identify and tackle ambitious interactive and visual design problems
Collaborate closely across Design, Product, Creative Technology, and Engineering teams
Build, own, and maintain documentation of animation specs
Contribute to the impact and culture of the motion design discipline
Qualification
Required
A broad portfolio of professional work showcasing animation craft and technical expertise
5 years of experience in motion design, preferably for digital products
A strong foundation in After Effects, with interest or experience in Figma, Rive, and AI tooling
Proven ability to thrive in small, fast-paced teams and champion your work to teammates and leadership
A highly organized and iterative creative process
The ability to work in or relocate to Pittsburgh, PA, Detroit, MI, or New York, NY
Preferred
Experience working on both in-house teams and in a studio/agency
Experience writing specs and collaborating with engineers to implement animation to product
Experience in animating and rigging interactions in Rive
