Responsibilities
Manage and process biweekly or semi-monthly payroll for both exempt and nonexempt employees
Oversee timekeeping, wage adjustments, garnishments, and payroll reporting
Ensure all payroll transactions comply with state and federal regulations
Partner with HR and Accounting to streamline processes, audit data, and reconcile payroll accounts
Lead year-end activities including W-2 distribution, tax filings, and audit support
Evaluate payroll systems and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency
Provide guidance to management and employees on payroll policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
5+ years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of CA labor laws, multi-state payroll, and wage & hour compliance
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, etc.)
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solutions-driven mindset
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
