The Bariatric Clinical Database Coordinator will assist in operational facets of the bariatric surgical program, focusing on data collection and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

Assist in the facilitation of all operational facets of the Bariatric surgical program
Collect and submit reliable data to the bariatric database
Perform high-quality data compilation, documentation and entry into the bariatric database of all eligible primary and provisional bariatric surgeries for the hospital
Work closely with the members of the bariatric surgery team to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects as may be identified
Engage in activities that keep the bariatric surgery program up to date with best practices, including identification of performance improvement projects/activities

Qualification

Registered NurseBariatric NursingBSNBLS CertificationData CompilationClinical Quality Improvement

Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered nurse in a relevant acute care setting, preferably with bariatric patients
Graduate of an approved, accredited School of Nursing
Current licensure as a registered nurse in New Jersey
BLS required

Preferred

BSN preferred
Certified bariatric nurse preferred, must be obtained within 2 years of hire
