Responsibilities

Build a strong research program that attracts federal, state, and corporate funding by leveraging the state-of-the-art and unique drive train test rig facility at CURI
Actively contribute to the Department's core graduate and undergraduate teaching missions

Required

Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
Potential to develop an internationally recognized, interdisciplinary research program
Active contribution to the Department's core graduate and undergraduate teaching missions
Receipt of the Ph.D. degree prior to the start date of appointment

Preferred

Expertise in modeling, simulation and advanced controls of wind turbines
Focus on dynamic load assessment, failure prediction, condition monitoring, and advanced control strategies for stable drive-train test-rig operation
