Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer- Early Career

They are seeking an early-career Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to modernize systems at power-generating facilities, focusing on transitioning from analog to digital technologies and collaborating on complex projects.

Responsibilities
Prepare Engineering Change Packages (ECPs) to upgrade obsolete analog systems with state-of-the-art digital platforms
Conduct engineering calculations and develop design studies
Contribute to project scopes and cost estimates
Review technical documentation from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure hardware and software meet project requirements
Collaborate closely with project managers and clients, providing input for budget and schedule planning
Participate in project meetings to ensure alignment and success
Understand regulatory requirements, industry codes, and standards specific to digital I&C systems
Travel to plant sites to interface with client personnel and perform walk-downs of plant systems and components
Qualification
Required
Completed a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university
Available to start in the next 1-2 months
Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation of electrical calculations
Knowledge of digital hardware and software components commonly used in digital I&C system platforms
Direct involvement in the entire digital upgrade life cycle including feasibility studies, procurement specifications, design change packages, FAT/SAT test procedure development, installation, and testing
Working knowledge of the application of current regulatory and industry digital upgrade standards
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in a team environment
Strong analytical skills and problem identification/resolution
Ability to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings

Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies
