Responsibilities
Transcribe audio, notes and a format provided by FTP accurately and in a timely fashion
Send completed verbatim transcripts according to the provided format
Meet deadlines for transcription work
Perform internet research as needed
Proofread all work before submission
Qualification
Required
Excellent command of English language
Government Security Clearance is REQUIRED
Must be able to transcribe at least 3 hours of audio per week
Accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
High speed internet connection
Internet research skills
Proofreading of all work before turned-in
Must be a US citizen
Required software/hardware: WordPerfect and/or MSWord
Required software/hardware: Windows Operating System
Required software/hardware: FTR Player (free download)
Required software/hardware: ExpressScribe (free download)
Required software/hardware: FileZilla (free download)
Must type at least 60 WPM
Preferred
AAERT certification is a plus
