Papillion Foods-Plant Engineering Technician-2nd Shift
Hormel Foods is seeking a Plant Engineering Maintenance Technician to improve the reliability, efficiency, and utilization of plant equipment and manufacturing processes. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing plant systems while working closely with plant personnel to enhance equipment reliability and resource efficiency.

Responsibilities
Apply industrial maintenance skills and knowledge to install, maintain, and repair plant systems and equipment
Initiate and perform condition monitoring tasks including preventive and predictive maintenance
Troubleshoot equipment failures to ascertain possible failure modes and participate with operations, plant engineering, suppliers, and other associates to improve equipment reliability
Utilize the company’s Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) and supports its use as a key management information tool
Recommend, develop, and implement system modifications to improve equipment operations and provide for attainment of plant and department goals
Provide direction and training for less skilled maintenance personnel and machine operators
Qualification
Required
Welding ability
Extensive maintenance experience with food processing equipment
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to troubleshoot
Solid background in mechanical and electrical systems
Training in maintenance reliability
Excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills
Ability to read and work from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical manuals
Ability to read and work from Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Ability to read and work from control schematics
Ability to learn and effectively use various software programs including the company's Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS)
Combination of experience and/or training at an accredited technical school
Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends
2 -3 years of Industrial Food manufacturing experience or a combination of experience and accredited technical training certificates or an associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance
Must be willing to work holidays if scheduled
Must be willing to train new maintenance team members
Other duties assigned by management
