Responsibilities
Post all health plans remittances received through mail or electronic means through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Work all denials for resubmission and payment
Generates superbills for vendor transportation vouchers for billing purposes
Assist the Billing Specialists II and III as requested
Provides customer service to internal and external customers and stakeholders
Participates in the Performance Improvement Processes in the Clinic
The employee must work well under pressure meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
The employee shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
One year medical billing experience
Current fingerprint card or the ability to obtain one clear of any restrictions upon hire
Computer keyboard
Ten-key touch
Basic computers, knowledge and familiar with window applications/environment
Able to sit for extended periods of time
Frequent reaching and occasional kneeling
Able to key for extended periods
PC, phone, fax, AHCCCS Eligibility, calculator, shredder, copier, typewriter, postage scale
Preferred
Word processing and spread sheet experience
