Warehouse & Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Warehouse & Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse while performing general building and equipment maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
Utilize a forklift to move product, skids, and equipment as needed
Complete walk through of facility to review condition of warehouse and provide management ongoing feedback
Respond quickly to cleaning situations such as spills or tipped over product etc
Troubleshoot and maintain toilets, sinks, small appliances and equipment, routine electrical repairs etc
Build rapport with team members and promote cleanliness and organizational goals
Ensure facility and office has adequate tools and resources available for associates to perform cleaning and organizational tasks
Address tipped pallets in warehouse racking
Ensure aisles are kept clean of debris and obstacles that hinder equipment traffic
Operate floor scrubbing machine
Aid in collecting and/or repairing damaged product
Ensure excess shrink wrap is cut from pallets and product is being stored neatly
Routinely sweep, mop, dust, sanitize, and empty trash cans in various work areas
Manage area dedicated to storing damaged pallets
Ensure warehouse equipment is being kept in good condition and is visually pleasing by wiping down, dusting, and painting
Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as landscaping, cleaning debris from exterior dock areas, washing and drying windows, and snow blowing and salting
Point of contact with various contractors to act as a liaison between contractors and management
Qualification
Required
Warehouse, forklift, and cleaning experience a plus
Ability to proficiently operate a variety of powered industrial trucks: including RCs, SCs, SPs, floor scrubbers, and scissors lifts
Experience using hand tools
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred
2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance practices
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance logs (Microsoft Office products and email)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be dependable and reliable
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions (e.g. heat/cold; noise and dust)
Able to work at elevations 30'
Preferred
Electrical, or plumbing certifications
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
Customer-service-oriented mindset
