Electrical Engineer
JTS is seeking an Electrical Engineer who plays a key role in designing, analyzing, and testing electrical power equipment and systems. The engineer will develop technical documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring that projects meet customer expectations and regulatory compliance while providing technical support during installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Prepare One-Line diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications for packaged backup electrical power systems, ensuring installations meet quality standards and customer requirements
Develop designs for integrating electrical components such as generators, breakers, transformers, control panels, and distribution systems
Create load-balanced circuit diagrams and ensure proper documentation
Perform engineering analysis on electrical systems used in JTS products
Create and manage Bills of Material (BOMs)
Evaluate electrical equipment for compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, government regulations, and performance criteria
Ensure adherence to safety codes and regulations in all electrical designs and installations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, engineers, departments, and external partners to support successful project execution
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
Research new technologies, trends, and methods to enhance product design and system performance
Assess long- and short-term implications of engineering decisions and alternative solutions
Understand manufacturing requirements and cost considerations when designing systems
Participate in the development of moderately complex project plans and support engineering activities for clients
Identify design or build issues, develop solutions, prepare documentation, and ensure timely resolution
Provide clear technical documentation, updates, and support to engineers, project teams, and management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering
2–3+ years of engineering experience with progressively responsible project assignments
Experience in electrical power systems, equipment design, construction materials, techniques, and procedures
Advanced technical knowledge of circuit design, system analysis, manufacturing processes, and testing methods
Ability to design load-balanced systems and document them accurately on One-Line diagrams
Knowledge of NEC, NSC, UBC, IBC, NFPA codes, and related construction and safety regulations
Understanding of proper specification and integration of fire and life safety systems
Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and relevant programming languages or software tools
Preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) license and UL508A certification preferred
