Pape’ Kenworth, a leading medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is looking for an Advanced Mobile Truck Technician / Mechanic. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks in the field, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Work in the field at customer locations and be a leader in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks

Analyze complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions in the field, determine the best repair strategy, and execute repairs or rebuilds on major systems including engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems

Ensure that every truck repair is completed with precision, efficiency, and lasting quality

Play a key role in supporting customers by maximizing uptime and getting trucks back on the road quickly, safely, and correctly the first time

Required

5 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair

Basic computer knowledge

Self-motivation and assertiveness

Ability to work under little or no supervision

Excellent communication and customer relations skills

Must provide own tools

Driver's license with a good driving record

Preferred

Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred

Cummins and MX software experience preferred

Class A CDL preferred
