The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of corporate accounting and property accounting, ensuring compliance with real estate law in financial reporting and overseeing bookkeeping activities.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of corporate accounting and property accounting, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation
Oversee property management accounting and bookkeeping
Rent Manager software or similar software for financial reporting
Multiple credit card (2) reconciliation and payments
Ensure compliance with real estate law in financial reporting
Process tenant move-outs with property manager and maintenance coordinator
Review utility billings for start and stop of tenant billings (prorations)
Prepare AP informational reports as scheduled or directed

Required

Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
Experience with residential property management accounting, bookkeeping, and balance sheet reconciliation
Strong understanding of property mgmt and financial management principles
Proficiency in Rent Manager or similar-type software programs
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Some administrative help is required from time-to-time (we're a small company)
Accounting: 2 years (Required)
Property Mgmt Industry Experience Required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)
