Wildlife Conservation Society is seeking a Seasonal Events and Catering Associate to support their Central Park Zoo operations. The role involves assisting the Sales and Venue Operations Manager with vendor management, event setup, and ensuring compliance with park rules to deliver a high-quality event experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure high level of service while maintaining a professional and personable demeanor with clients and vendors

Communicate effectively across departments

Oversee vendor delivery, load in, set up, while enforcing park rules for guest experience and safety

Oversee vendor load out, enforcing established breakdown procedures

Assist and give direction to supplemental staff

Monitor vendors during course of day to enforce and maintain fire safety

Assist receiving, stocking and keeping inventory of on-site product

Conducting site visits on behalf of Sales and Venue Operations Manager

Assist with Fire Marshall and Department of Buildings inspection

Follow all WCS safety and security policies and procedures

Perform other related duties assigned by Sales Manager

Required

High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required

Must have strong verbal communication skills

Must have full availability including day shift, mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays

Must be able to work effectively under pressure and follow instructions

Must be able to work independently and/or with other team members with limited supervision

Must be able to lift 50-pounds

Must be at least 21 years of age

Valid driver's license required; New York residents must possess a valid New York license; valid out-of-state license required for out-of-state residents
