Responsibilities
Install HVAC systems for commercial construction
Cutting and threading pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machines
Installation of sheet metal duct and HVAC equipment
Set/mount equipment, rough-in and trim duct systems, experience installing duct systems is preferred
Layout and connect electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram
Ensure customer satisfaction
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
3-5 years of practical working experience in the HVAC industry
Must have the ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, specifications, and drawings
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Must have an honest and dependable personality
Strong mechanical aptitude
Strong ability to distinguish between various HVAC equipment
Self motivated individual with strong ability to follow instructions and work alone, as well as work effectively within a team
Ability to display professional company image
Possession of valid driver's license with good record of driving and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Strong ability to write and read in English language
Ability to lift items weighing up to 100lbs safely
Strong ability to operate under severe temperature condition for long periods of time
Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or/and kneel continually
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites
Ability to relocate before starting work
Preferred
EPA certification a plus
Prefer commercial HVAC experience
Past experience working on construction projects desired
Experience installing duct systems is preferred
