Responsibilities
Conducting legal research
Preparing briefs, pleadings, memoranda, or other legal documents
Assisting with courtroom hearings and proceedings
Reviewing and summarizing evidence and exhibits
Supporting junior law clerks by monitoring caseloads and offering guidance on tasks and assignments
Qualification
Required
be a current law student graduating in May 2026
be transferring from out of state and preparing for the swearing-in
be a recent graduate from an ABA-accredited law school awaiting SC Bar results
The position may require travel and the transport of files
Proficient in computers, software, and technology, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other related tools
Occasional overnight travel may be necessary, especially during trials or hearings across the State
DRUG SCREENING, CREDIT CHECKS, DELINQUENT TAX CHECKS, GRIEVANCE CHECKS, AND SLED BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE REQUIRED
