Machinist - AWW Shift (Onsite)
Pratt & Whitney is a leading company in the aerospace industry, focused on transforming the future of flight. They are seeking a Machinist Technician for the Aftermarket Repair organization in Springdale, AR, responsible for setting up and operating various machines to fabricate and repair parts while maintaining compliance with FAA regulations.

Responsibilities
Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts
Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements
Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories
Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents
Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met
Maintain a clean work environment
Qualification
Required
HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of machining experience
Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents
Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met
Maintain a clean work environment
Preferred
Technical trade school degree in machining
Training to include set-up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories
5+ years of machining experience
5-axis horizontal or vertical milling experience
Experience with VTL, Lathes, and/or Mills
FANUC Controller experience
