Project Manager 1 - SHN

Responsibilities

Skilled in project management, including the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of projects
Develop project goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and evaluation methods
Incumbents identify and coordinate with program committees and advisory groups
Track project budgets and develop and monitor contracts
Train and advise staff, project advocates, and program participants
They plan, facilitate, and conduct meetings
Measure, evaluate and communicate project performance

Required

Experience planning and implementing projects including coordinating the development of project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and measurement processes/methods for assessing progress toward goals and project outcomes. Typically gained by one year of work experience with responsibility for planning and implementing projects. These should be involved projects encompassing aspects of identifying project needs; identifying resources to use; identifying funding sources; developing goals and strategies to implement goals and evaluating the outcome of the projects and if the desired outcomes were achieved
Experience interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public. Typically gained by a background where the interpretation of laws, policies, procedures, rules, or similar types of information were analyzed and communicated orally, in writing, graphically and/or on the web in a way that was usable by customers
Experience developing and monitoring contracts. Typically gained by one year of experience which included consultant selection, development of the scope of work and man-hour negotiation, and developing and managing schedule. This experience should also include reviewing progress payments; enforcing contract compliance for scope, budget and milestone completion; and consultant evaluation

Preferred

Applicant should be proficient in the use and understanding of various other computer platforms for developing budgets, work plans, timelines and monitoring contracts
Applicant should be proficient at speaking to groups of people and using virtual meeting processes
Applicant should/shall be proficient in Word, Excel, and use of various email platforms
