Section Chief, Cardiothoracic Radiology

Dartmouth Health’s Department of Radiology is seeking a Chief of Cardiothoracic Imaging to join their dynamic team. The role involves leading the cardiothoracic imaging section, ensuring clinical excellence, fostering educational programs, and supporting scholarly activities within the department.

Responsibilities

Define and execute a vision for a world class cardiothoracic imaging section
Grow an efficient, productive, cutting-edge clinical service
Nurture a robust and growing educational program for students, residents, and fellows
Spearhead a scholarly portfolio for the section including clinical, health care delivery, and/or basic science research
Ensure the Cardiothoracic Imaging Service Line is productive, cutting-edge, and collaborative
Develop new services and hone those already in existence
Collaborate with executive leadership, department chairs, and division leads to develop new services, innovate, and collaborate
Define goals for developing a world class educational environment
Participate in national societies and organizations

Required

Diagnostic Radiology Board Certified
Fellowship training and/or extensive experience in Cardiothoracic imaging
Must obtain and maintain a medical license in both New Hampshire and Vermont
The ability to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, depending on experience, with a preference for candidates at the Associate or Full Professor rank
This is a 1.0 FTE position
Demonstrated success within an academically oriented radiology department with a personal history of academic excellence
A track record of delivering strong results in mission-driven organizations
Desired experience includes a demonstrated ability to grow the clinical service, measure and improve outcomes, and optimize systems
Proven ability to mentor and sponsor others
A strong commitment to contribute to a department-wide (and section-wide) culture of respect, transparency, communication, optimism, collaboration, engagement, and caring

Preferred

Participation in national societies and organizations preferred
Experience in local, national, or international speaking/teaching in the realm of Cardiothoracic Imaging preferred
