TrafFix Devices is seeking a Blow Mold Associate to join their production team. The role involves operating blow mold machines, inspecting products for quality control, and collaborating with team members to ensure timely delivery of finished products.

Responsibilities

Operates blow mold machines
Removes and clean excess material from product
Inspects product for quality control
Weighs parts every 15 minutes or as directed by supervisor
Assists with material, color and product change procedures
Prepares boxes to put finished product, labels and tapes boxes
Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor or department lead or manager
Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to the supervisor or department manager
Assist in training new blow mold associates
Collaborates with other members of the production team to ensure that deadlines are met, and products are delivered on time
Consistently abides by established safety rules, procedures, and regulations including wearing required safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses
Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to supervisor or manager
Works effectively with co-workers and supervisors, sharing knowledge, resources, and experience to achieve production goals in a timely fashion, while promoting respect, communication, and teamwork
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Time management skills: The ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks is important to ensure products are built and prepared for shipment on time
Communication skills: Good verbal and written communication skills are important to work effectively with other team members
Organizational skills: The ability to keep track of stages of the assembly process, part numbers and inventory counts, and physical awareness of part locations and proper areas for staging assembled parts
Basic math skills: Basic arithmetic skills are necessary for accurately counting parts and identifying part numbers
Attention to safety: The ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines when using equipment is important to maintain a safe work environment
Follow directions: The ability to follow established procedures while performing tasks, using tools, and handling materials. Carefully consider and follow instructions to complete tasks and deliver required results
Dependability: Reliability and consistency of attendance, punctuality, and completion of assigned tasks according to established standards and expectations with little supervision
Physical dexterity: The employee must be able to bend, twist, and reach while handling objects and using power and hand tools. The employee is also required to stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, and to hear
Lifting: The employee must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs on a regular basis, and objects weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally
Vision: The vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Endurance: The employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment
Exposure to elements: The employee will be working in a warehouse environment and may be exposed to varying temperatures and inclement weather conditions. There will also be frequent exposure to dirt and dust
Noise level: The employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels in the workplace for the majority of the day, due to the constant use of forklift and hand-held power tools

Preferred

A high school diploma/GED, or equivalent work experience
At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
