Program Specialist III

NEOGOV is a part of the Mississippi State Department of Health, which aims to protect and advance the health and well-being of Mississippians. The Program Specialist III will primarily manage Human Resource actions and coordinate with various teams to ensure proper documentation and inventory management within the Environmental Health Office.

Responsibilities

Submitting all Environmental Health Human Resource actions to the MSDH Office of Human Capital
Working with Environmental Health Program Directors and Finance Team on the required paperwork for these submissions
Managing submission updates
Providing status updates to leadership and directors
Recording all Organizational Chart updates made by the Environmental Health Program Directors
Coordinating property inventory with program responsible persons and MSDH Property
Keeping records on all inventory audits submitted
Addressing inventory issues including salvaging and transfer of property assuring all correct paperwork has been completed and submitted
Assist programs and the Environmental Finance team in proper deployment of equipment ordered
Assist programs in facilitating internal audits and responses

Qualification

Bachelor’s degreeHuman Resources experienceWritten communicationVerbal communicationProblem-solving

Required

Candidate must have the ability to multi-task
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Candidate must be able to adapt to changes quickly
Candidate must be able to use professional judgment for solving problems and addressing situations

Preferred

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience
Previous experience in Human Resources preferred
