Project Engineer - Power Construction
TIC is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation providing construction services for Power Generation. They are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support the design, planning, and execution of power plant construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Logistics & Supply Chain
Responsibilities
Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
Monitor on-site activities to ensure adherence to design and quality standards
Resolve technical issues during construction and provide engineering solutions
Prepare progress reports and present updates to project managers and clients
Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience in engineering roles within power plant or industrial construction projects
Familiarity with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) processes
Strong knowledge of power generation systems and construction methodologies
Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
