Lead Enterprise SASE Security Engineer

Northwest Partners is seeking a Lead Enterprise SASE Security Engineer to contribute to a large-scale digital initiative for a top technology organization. This role involves driving the deployment and operationalization of a global Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture, focusing on Zero Trust security models and Netskope implementation.

Responsibilities

Define and engineer ZTNA internal application policies to enforce least-privilege access
Design and implement a tag-oriented SASE unified security policy strategy
Conduct SSL inspection review and exclusion validation to minimize security blind spots
Lead firewall policy and web category cleanup to streamline final policy sets
Document design and configuration standards associated with the SASE deployment
Deploy and operate the Netskope platform including SWG, CASB, DLP, ZTNA, and RBI components
Integrate Netskope with identity providers and EDR solutions to enforce adaptive access policies
Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for Netskope-related issues across various endpoints

Required

5+ years in security engineering roles with at least 3 years focused on enterprise SASE/SSE deployment
Hands-on experience with Netskope Security Cloud or comparable platforms (e.g., Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma Access)
Proven experience migrating from legacy firewalls (e.g., Check Point, Cisco) to a SASE platform
Strong networking knowledge across OSI layers 1-7, SD-WAN, and traditional firewalls
Scripting skills using Python or similar for automation and API integration
Expertise in NGFW policy creation and migration to identity-based models
Ability to optimize SSL/TLS decryption policies in high-volume cloud environments

Preferred

Certifications such as Netskope Cloud Security Certification or Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator
