Assistant Project Manager

CUBE ROOT Corporation is involved in the U.S. Virgin Islands Rebuild Program, a major disaster recovery initiative aimed at restoring critical public infrastructure. They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, execution, and reporting activities across various projects.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables
Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and status reports
Coordinate communication among project stakeholders and team members
Track project progress and help ensure milestones and deadlines are met
Assist in identifying project risks and support implementation of mitigation strategies
Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards
Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, reporting, and documentation
Contribute to project tracking and reporting using established tools and systems
Support procurement processes and contract administration as directed
Foster collaboration and maintain positive working relationships with clients and team members
Maintain accurate and organized project records, including meeting minutes, change orders, and compliance documentation
Assist in managing subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Help monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Support monitoring of project expenditures and preparation of cost reports
Assist with obtaining permits and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
Prepare weekly and/or monthly progress reports for internal and client review
Regularly update project schedules and communicate changes to stakeholders
Maintain a project issues log and follow up on resolution status
Participate in client meetings and provide updates as directed by the Project Manager

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or related roles
Basic knowledge of contract management, construction processes, and project documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field
PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or disaster recovery programs
Familiarity with federal programs, including FEMA
Exposure to project management systems such as KAHUA
