Responsibilities
Follow controlled documents issued when performing inspections
Inspect all listed characteristics to specifications, using gaging methods established
Provide quality support to production by responding to inspection needs that arise and communicate results in a timely manner
Ability to explain inspection and gaging methods to machine operators
Perform Firearms QAPS and other sort activities/inspections as needed
Perform CMM checks as required
Qualification
Required
Must be able to read blueprints & use gauges
Skilled in attribute and variable gaging, including micrometers
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Ability to bend, twist, grip, and climb stairs as needed
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with possible exposure to dust, solvents, liquids, and varying temperatures
Must wear required PPE at all times
Preferred
1–5 years of quality control experience
Prior machine shop inspection experience
ASQ certification and GD&T knowledge
Technical knowledge of machining processes
