Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with internal controls
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reporting
Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide insights for various projects and business initiatives
Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and ensure adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations
Analyze financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators to provide actionable recommendations to management
Help develop, maintain, and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and industry best practices
Prepare audit support schedules and documentation; assist with external and internal audits by responding to information requests
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed to support the finance team and organizational goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Solid experience with Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions)
Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations
Preferred
Experience in real estate or property management is a plus
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar platforms preferred)
Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations is a plus
