Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and preform routine and non-routine types of preventive and on-going maintenance

Perform repairs in the areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine servicing

Assist other members of the maintenance team to ensure service excellence

Consult with outside vendors or internal staff to ensure problem resolution

Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner. This may include machine assembly, machine disassembly, machine adjustments and non-formal equipment training as needed to positively affect efficiencies

Required

Completion of two-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge/experience

Completion of basic industrial electricity course or equivalent knowledge/experience

Valid driver's license

Four or more years' experience in the building trades or commercial facilities maintenance

A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor

Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand instructions, equipment manuals, mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints as well as food safety, sanitation and safety procedures

Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills

Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects

Solid time management and organizational skills essential

Computer skills (Outlook). Excel and Word desired

Ability to work without supervision

Ability to follow all food, personal, safety and sanitation guidelines including hand washing, wearing proper uniform, sanitizing, repairing, maintaining equipment and tools to guard against contamination, and assure all product is safe for consumption

Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring workspace and storage areas are free from debris and clutter

Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills

Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of equipment and work tools in a retail food environment

HVAC, preventive maintenance and operational ability

Knowledge of motor controls, photo eyes, proximity sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes

Maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA and all other regulatory agencies

Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
