Project Manager

Responsibilities

Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor materials, preparation, and other related costs
Works with subcontractors to obtain proposals for project work
Manages subcontractors performing project work
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Troubleshoots complex, reoccurring maintenance issues
Develops design criteria. Prepares and reviews plans, specifications, AutoCAD drawings and schedules to determine work phases and work priorities
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment conditions, specifications, company restrictions, and construction feasibility
Manages subcontractors performing project work

Required

10 years of experience in the management of multi-site facilities; capital budget planning experience for multi-year issues is required; experience with CMMS systems is required
Experience in manufacturing maintenance management in a food manufacturing plant
Experience in refrigeration and utilities management
Must have certification as a professional engineer or be a certified facility manager
Must be able to qualify, review and select contractors to provide outside services
Must possess expert knowledge in the operation and maintenance of building structures, systems, equipment, landscaping, and paved surfaces
Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems for refrigerated and frozen storage systems is required
Must be able to understand the needs of the operation side of the business, adjust the facility to support such operations, and be able to recommend facility changes to improve operation, reduce downtime or to save on maintenance costs
Must possess thorough knowledge of facilities maintenance and how to proactively maintain the health of an asset
Must have demonstrated ability to make critical decisions based on data-supported business cases
Strong written, technical, and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and facility related software are all required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in engineering, building management, or related fields preferred
