Management Analyst - Office of Equitable Transit and Mobility
The City of Richmond is committed to nurturing talent and fostering growth opportunities within its workforce. They are seeking a Management Analyst to perform complex administrative, technical, and project management duties in support of the Deputy Director of Public Works.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Providing comprehensive customer service and delivering accurate, prompt, and courteous assistance on policies, guidelines, and standard practices to internal and external customers, verbally and in writing
Facilitating special projects to include the execution and management of the projects
Performing general office operations to include budgeting, accounts payable and operating task as assigned
Researching, analyzing, and writing reports
Providing support for innovation and continuous improvement teams
Providing Main Street Station events support, including evenings and weekends
Providing venue sales and promotion support
Providing facility maintenance support
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or field related to assignment
Two years of paraprofessional experience in area related to assignment, such as assisting with program or project administration and management analysis
An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of electronic databases and related software applications in area of focus
Knowledge of English language, including strong oral and written communications skills
Knowledge of ordinances, government regulations, agency rules, and the legislative process
Knowledge of principles for providing customer service, including meeting quality standard for services and customer satisfaction
Knowledge of strong research practices and procedures
Knowledge of background in the events or venue management industry
Skills in analyzing and aggregating data for complex issues
Skills in analyzing and interpreting manuals and operating procedures
Skills in communicating with various internal and external departments
Skills in communicating results of analyses and recommendations professionally and effectively with senior management and peers
Skills in drafting and revising documents
Skills in managing program in focus area
Skills in performing various administrative and clerical procedures such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
Skills in serving as department liaison
Skills in supporting various activities in area of focus
