Acquire field data to be used for designing network routes
Identify optimum path for extending OSP Facilities
Provide detailed field notes to allow construction work prints to be generated in CAD
Capable of managing own workload and prioritizing multiple field engineering assignments
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential duties of the position
A minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications/telecom/Power construction industry
Knowledge of outside plant activities (Fiber and Copper Cable Design, Pole Line Construction, Conduit System design)
Ability to read and understand as built prints and be able to identify conflicts with existing outside plant facilities, select routing of lines and equipment required for projects
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Good organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn new technical systems and tools
Ability to work safely in high traffic areas, public walkways, and right of way
