Project Manager - Buildings and Building Systems (BBS)
Enovate is an Engineering firm that specializes in Construction Management, Transportation Engineering and Monitoring services. They are seeking a Project Manager with experience in project management and design oversight for construction projects at a commercial service airport, responsible for managing consultants and contractors while ensuring successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities
Management of consultants and contractors
Design oversight
Procurement support
Construction monitoring and oversight
Coordination of tenants, business partners and other RDU departments
Evaluate project design drawings for moderate-sized capital and expense projects for conformance to standards and specifications
Coordination with other capital projects and expansion of existing infrastructure
Oversight (design review and construction) of tenant improvements
Upgrades to existing buildings’ infrastructure including building envelope, mechanical, electrical, plumbing
Campus building assessments and improvements to various other support buildings associated with a fast-growing medium-hub commercial airport
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, a building engineering discipline (i.e., mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) or related field
3+ years related experience at a commercial service airport the size and scope of RDU with emphasis on the project types noted above
Licensed Architect or Engineer desirable but not required
Project Management certification desired but not required
Knowledge of project planning and budgeting
Knowledge of project management best practices
Knowledge of rules, regulations, codes, and guidelines as they relate to building construction and renovations, including fire, electric, energy, utilities, disabilities, egress, elevators, escalators, stairs, and associated permits
Knowledge of airport projects and the airport environment at a medium-hub commercial service airport
Knowledge of principles and practice of public sector management and administration of airport policies and procedures
Knowledge of industry standard building specifications and codes
Knowledge of design, construction, and/or maintenance of basic building components and finishes, electrical and lighting systems, HVAC systems, potable water and sanitary sewage, including gravity and forced main systems, fire alarm and fire protection systems, utilities and communication systems
Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation
Knowledge of principles and practices of basic bookkeeping
Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment
Skill in developing or rehabilitating building infrastructures and systems
Skill in airport facility planning, design, and operation
Skill in organization and time management
Skill in interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships
Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
Skill in performing basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios
Skill in assigning, prioritizing, monitoring, and reviewing work assignment
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups and individuals internally and externally
Ability to manage multiple moderately-complex projects simultaneously and prioritize work between multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to analyze and interpret technical data, reports, specifications, and engineering and architectural plans for facilities at a commercial air carrier airport
Ability to prepare, evaluate, monitor, and maintain complex operating budgets and capital program budgets
Ability to plan, organize and direct work on complex projects involving building infrastructure and systems
Ability to promote consensus and negotiate favorable outcomes
Ability to research current and future trends to establish programs for existing and new buildings
Ability to create and meet schedules and deadlines of the work
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
Ability to accurately organize and maintain paper documents and electronic files
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and professional boundaries
