Responsibilities

Commission and support warranty operations for locomotives and coaches
Troubleshoot and analyze mechanical and electrical failures
Perform repairs using mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit plans
Use diagnostic software and laptops to assess onboard systems
Identify root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions
Performs mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site and remotely
Supports customers remotely and onsite, and provides 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues
Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers' equipment
Supports in generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contributes to planning activities
Adheres to defined processes and applicable regulations
Document failures, repairs, and modifications in our database
Implement Field Modifications (FMIs) to enhance product quality
Communicate effectively with team members, site leads, and managers
Handle parts returns and repairs (RMA process)
Operate shop machinery and hand tools in a hands-on environment
Follow all company and industry safety standards and procedures

Required

High school diploma required
Basic mechanical/electrical knowledge
Ability to use tools and a multimeter
Ability to read and understand schematics, maintenance, repair, and FMI documents
Mechanical and electrical parts replacement
Some software will need to be installed
Experience using a multimeter

Preferred

Vocational training or practical experience preferred (no associate degree needed)
