Responsibilities

Can work independently in all areas in the production of Marek's disease vaccine. This may include, but are not limited to: Performing all processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
Utilizes sterile technique at all times
Active knowledge of working under laminar flow hoods and HEPA filtered environment
Communicates any occurrence to Senior Operations Leader and/or Team Leader immediately
Responsible for keeping the lab area clean and sterile at all times
Maintains accurate and timely manufacturing records, this includes all paperwork and files
Individual monthly responsibilities are assigned in each lab. Individual must ensure these activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Assists in receiving roller bottles in labs and in holding area
Works cooperatively with mentor in training; training is vital to performance and should be considered a priority
Actively promotes safety and awareness in the lab, always acting in occurrence with safety practices
Maintains facilities and equipment as required by Standard Operating Procedures
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Self-motivated
Ability to think ahead to next task
Ability to work well under time constraints
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry it a distance of 10 ft., as well as push / pull
Must be able to squat, bend, and stoop, as well as twisting and turning
Manual dexterity and visual acuity are important
Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time and work in a sterile production environment
Must be flexible with availability (able to work overtime as needed on short notice)
This position requires weekend work. Regular attendance is a must
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred

Production and/or lab experience preferred
Two-plus (2+) years of Mareks lab experience, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in biology or science related field
