Product Owner (Remote)

Responsibilities
Independently manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the team always works on the most impactful projects
Create detailed stories, clarify stories as necessary to support the development teams
Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
Confirm that executed stories comply with Neumo’s Definition of Done
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product releases
Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather and validate requirements and feedback
Work closely with senior leadership to inform product strategy and provide updates on product progress and milestones
Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform product decisions and strategy
Ensure product aligns with user needs, business goals, and technical capabilities
Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Monitor and report on product performance, quality, and usage metrics
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
2+ years' experience working in Agile methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; preferably in Product Owner or Business Analyst role
Understanding and experience with technical solutions and components (APIs, Middleware, Services, SQL)
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technology/development and business partners ability to translate between these two constituencies
Excellent written communication skills and have excellent communication skills and client presence
Ability to create user journeys, user stories, wireframes, mockups, and basic diagrams to convey ideas
Able to juggle multiple competing priorities
Ability to persuade, encourage and motivate others to beat deadlines
Preferred
Public sector or public sector software experience desired, tax administration, short term rental or revenue management solutions a plus
Experience using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Figma and utilization tools like Segment, Dovetail, and Amplitude
