Electrical Engineer

Consulting
Responsibilities
Assists with the design of one or more of the following: power distribution systems (primary requirement), size motor feeders and starters
Supports the design of building power and lighting systems. Includes the design of special systems, such as ground fault, lightning protection, emergency generator, UPS, etc
Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Electrical Engineering Principles
Assists with performing voltage drop and short-circuit calculations. Perform arc fault analysis
Coordinates work with other departments and project team members as well as contractors
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future
Minimum of 8 years' electrical engineering experience following graduation
Professional Engineering (PE) certification or willingness to pursue this designation
Project experience and a working knowledge of Electrical design for building projects
Knowledge in both Revit and AutoCAD
Strong electrical design expertise across various industries and processes
Comprehensive understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practices
In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE, etc.)
Experience in infrastructure design for manufacturing facilities
Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence stakeholders
Proven ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers
Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers and other stakeholders
Supervisory or people-management experience
Effective meeting management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adaptable and agile, responsive to quick changes in direction
Knowledge of computer technology and specific areas of application, including MS Office
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic travel
