Borba Property Group is seeking a dependable, skilled Maintenance Technician with a can-do attitude and strong handyman experience. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional service for residents and internal team members by completing service orders at multiple properties throughout the Long Beach area.

Responsibilities

Complete daily work orders in alignment with Borba Property Group standards by troubleshooting issues, identifying solutions, and gathering necessary materials

Utilize our online platform, Appfolio, to review and update work orders, add notes, upload photos, and log completion times

Travel between properties within the Long Beach area to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally

Required

High School Diploma

4+ years of experience in maintenance or a similar field

Willingness to travel between properties; must have reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)

Availability for emergency on-call needs

Valid California driver's license

Ability to perform physical labor, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 75 lbs

Experience: Maintenance: 3 years (Required)

Knowledge of electrical systems, components, equipment, and regulations

Knowledge of carpentry materials, installation procedures, and repair techniques

Knowledge of drywall and patching methods

Knowledge of safety hazards, personal safety practices, and equipment safety procedures

Knowledge of technological literacy, including familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and phone/computer applications such as Appfolio

Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, effective time management, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to identify and use the correct tools and equipment

Ability to communicate effectively with residents, managers, and co-workers

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to recognize when to escalate issues

Ability to maintain patience, professionalism, and sound judgment in challenging situations
