Salesforce Managing Consultant
XCentium is an award winning digital consultancy that helps clients align their technology strategy with business objectives. They are seeking a dynamic functional/technical Managing Consultant for their Salesforce Practice to consult with clients on Salesforce best practices and implement solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales leadership and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, and recommend solutions that align with Salesforce best practices
Manage projects, scrum ceremonies, budget, schedule, client communication, etc
Configure and maintain Sales and Service Cloud features including custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, Flows, assignment rules, and approval processes
Develop reports and dashboards that deliver meaningful insights to sales leadership and frontline users
Administer the security model—users, roles, profiles, permission sets, public groups, and sharing rules—ensuring appropriate data access while maintaining compliance
Be able to do light development (Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, integration work) when declarative tools cannot meet requirements, following established release and governance practices
Monitor org health, data quality, and user adoption; lead data hygiene initiatives including deduplication, enrichment, and periodic audits
Serve as the primary point of contact for user support, training, and documentation
Track Salesforce releases and evaluate new features; maintain a roadmap for incremental platform improvements
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience with significant focus on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
Background in consulting, professional services, or client-facing roles—comfortable leading requirements sessions and presenting technical recommendations to non-technical audiences
Deep knowledge of core administrative functions: security model (roles, profiles, OWD, sharing rules), Flows, formula fields, validation rules, reporting
Deep knowledge of CRM and Service Cloud
Working proficiency in Salesforce development (Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components) sufficient to handle approximately 25% custom development work
Ability to learn new things by installing apps, following trailhead/documentation, tinkering and configuring/declarative coding
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate complex concepts in clear, business-appropriate terms
Certifications needed : Salesforce Certified Administrator ; Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I , Sales Cloud certification, Service Cloud certification
Preferred
Experience in Salesforce consulting, managed services, or multi-org environments with competing priorities and stakeholder groups
