Responsibilities

Lead or support design tasks related to airfield infrastructure: runways, taxiways, aprons, pavement, grading, and stormwater systems
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents in compliance with FAA, state, and local standards
Participate in the coordination of multidisciplinary teams, including subconsultants and internal design groups (structural, electrical, geotechnical)
Provide support during construction phases, including site visits, submittal reviews, and RFI responses
Interface with clients, stakeholders, and permitting agencies to support project delivery
Contribute to project management activities, including scope, schedule, and budget tracking under the direction of senior staff
Assist in mentoring junior engineers and supporting their technical development

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
6+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably with a focus on aviation or transportation infrastructure
Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6-12 months
Previous experience working on airport projects (Part 139 airports, FAA-funded projects)
Familiarity with construction administration and QA/QC procedures
Strong working knowledge of FAA design criteria and engineering standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard design tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel periodically for client meetings and site visits
