Munck Wilson Mandala is seeking a Law Firm Payroll and Benefits Manager to join their Dallas office located in Uptown. This position ensures the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

Prepare and process accurate and timely payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies

Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, HSA, HRA, and 401k

Update payroll and benefits records by reviewing and maintaining changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, deductions, job titles, and department/division transfers

Collaborate with HR to onboard new employees and manage changes to existing employee records

Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies

Maintain accurate records of employee's compensation, benefits, and deductions

Work closely with the accounting team to reconcile payroll and benefits accounts

Address employee inquiries

Uphold data accuracy

General Ledger entries

Multi-state and insurance payroll tax compliance

Handle workers compensation insurance

Work on additional projects as assigned by Firm leadership

Required

Minimum of 5 years of payroll and benefits experience in a professional services company, preferably a law firm

Strong understanding of payroll practices, benefits administration, and compliance requirements

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

High level of confidentiality and professionalism

Proficiency in relevant software systems

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field a plus
