Responsibilities
Draft and organize legal documents, including pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, briefs, and trial-related documents such as witness lists, exhibit lists, and jury instructions
Timely and accurately e-file legal documents with federal and state courts while adhering to local rules and guidelines
Organize and maintain case files in CasePeer and Dropbox, ensuring all documents and information are accurately recorded and accessible
Schedule and manage attorney calendars, coordinating court appearances, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and other litigation-related matters
Assist with trial preparation by preparing trial binders, exhibits, and coordinating witness and expert scheduling
Support expert discovery by assisting attorneys with expert designations, scheduling, organizing expert files, and coordinating expert depositions
Communicate with clients and medical providers to ensure appropriate treatment and obtain necessary medical records
Work with accounting to ensure case-related expenses are properly documented and paid
Proactively manage caseload by working closely with attorneys to support active cases and ensure deadlines are met
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years of experience in plaintiff personal injury required
Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish, strongly preferred
Prior experience with CasePeer and Microsoft Office strongly preferred
ABA-approved paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
